Assistant Manager (Audit) - Harrogate

Our client is looking for an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Assistant Manager, to join their expanding department and office based in Harrogate.  The Audit team currently has 30 colleagues.   

Applicants must be either ACA or ACCA 

The role

To become part of the team providing a wide range of audit, accounting and advisory services to clients. They offer varied and interesting work involving client contact with the people who make the decisions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the audit process
  • Managing and monitoring progress of work and budgets
  • Ensuring all work is delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Supervising and coaching qualified staff and trainees
  • Liaison with tax team
  • Opportunities to work on special assignments and projects
  • We provide regular technical training and soft skills development to help support your development and progression.

We are looking for candidates who are outgoing, a self-starter, resilient and driven and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

ACA/ACCA qualified with a good exam record and relevant experience.

The successful candidate may have a general practice or audit background and should have experience of managing a client portfolio and have had exposure to one off special assignments and complicated technical areas. 

Salary/benefits

  • A 35-hour working week with flexibility around the core hours of 10am-12pm / 2pm-4pm
  • Working from home allowance of £25 a month.
  • Eligibility for the firm’s Profit Sharing Plan that runs from October to September each year.  The scheme enables staff to share in the profits of the firm.
  • Competitive annual salary depending upon experience.
  • Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme.
