Bakery Manager – North Dorset, Full time permanent (£20,000 - £26,000)

We are currently looking for an experienced Bakery Manager to join a company based in Dorset. You will be responsible for the day to day running’s of the bakery. It is an immensely fun and varied role working with a dynamic team.

Our client is looking for someone with BRC, GMP & Lean production processes experience.

Managing Production

  • Receive recipe sheets from the manager and sign as checked and received
  • Responsible for ensuring that recipe sheets and relevant paperwork is completed in full
  • Ensures that all bakery machinery is being used to its optimum capacity
  • Reports to planner any potential problems that may result in delays to production
  • Analyses completed recipe sheets to check that yields are correct.
  • Ensure correct members of staff in correct areas depending on skill level
  • Ensure QAS is being followed in all areas
  • Ensure staff are using machinery correctly and safely
  • Ensure Staff are working efficiently and are following the production plan/recipe given
  • Ensure staff are properly dressed-hairnets, clean gowns/aprons, safety shoes are being worn
  • Ensure chocolate parameters are correctly set up and resolve any issues
  • Train staff on how to correctly handle chocolate including tempering, storage and cleaning
  • Setup staff on packing/weighing new products into packaging
  • Load lorries with stock, or delegate job to other members of staff ensuring the despatch note is
  • signed by the driver and filed away in the dispatch notes folder.
  • Responsible for picking all pallets and uses old stock first
  • Undertakes monthly stock take of ingredients, packaging & consumables
