Our client is currently looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their Accountancy Practice based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. As a Book Keeper you will have experience of computerised accounts packages, posting sales and purchase invoices, reconciling bank accounts and submitting VAT returns.

You may also be IBC, ATT or qualified by experience and have sound knowledge of Excel.

This Book Keeper role is varied as it includes providing Bookkeeping support to clients both directly with them at their offices or at our client’s office based in Salisbury.

You will need to have a full driving licence as you may be travelling to visit clients or other offices.

Key Responsibilities as a Bookkeeper:

  • Posting invoices and reconciling bank accounts on client accounts packages - which may be Quickbooks, Xero, Sage, Excel, other.
  • Processing invoice approvals in line with client policies and chasing information.
  • Raising sales invoices on client systems and issuing with supporting documents.
  • Raising purchase orders on behalf of clients.
  • Supporting clients using book-keeping packages, both in the office and on site.
  • Supporting other members of the accounts team as required on ad hoc tasks.
  • Taking telephone calls and answering client queries.
  • Supporting the reception team as required on an ad hoc basis.
