Editorial Assistant, Andover (FTC till November 19)

Our client based in Andover is looking for an analytical and conscientious administrator to join their team on a fixed term contract till the end of November 2019.

To be successful in this Editorial Assistant role you will need to have some experience of working within a busy and varied administrative role. You will be educated to degree level (ideally) or equivalent and have good PC skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. A flexible ‘can-do’ approach is necessary for this sometimes-high-pressured work environment.

Although not essential, previous experience of working in a publishing editorial department would be a distinct advantage.

Skills needed for the Editorial Assistant role:

  • Degree level or equivalent - desirable
  • Administrative experience.
  • Flexible approach to tasks and a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Keen attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good PC skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong numeracy skills and financial literacy
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Awareness of data protection.
  • Ability to work calmly in a sometimes-high pressure environment.
  • Team player suited to a team-orientated and collaborative environment, where knowledge is shared actively.
  • Discreet and respects confidentiality.
