An immediate opportunity is now available for an experienced PA / Executive Assistant to join a growing SME based in Chard, Somerset.
This is a Permanent position to act as Personal Assistant/ Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, providing support by assisting in organising and facilitating tasks to support their work in a fast moving environment.
As a PA to the MD you will:
  • Plan the Managing Director’s diary and undertake general office organisation
  • Deal with incoming mail/emails and act as confidential secretary
  • Screen phone calls, enquiries and requests (handling them where appropriate)
  • Draft letters, board minutes, agendas and weekly Directors’ meeting notes as required
  • Prepare papers, reports and PowerPoint presentations as necessary
  • Meet and Greet visitors at all levels of seniority
  • Provide a welcoming environment for visitors and telephone callers
  • Arrange Managing Director’s travel and attendance at conferences, exhibitions, shows and meetings
  • Carry out background research and present findings
  • Organise and attend meetings/events and ensuring the MD is prepared for meetings
  • Support the MD in his roles
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and other staff
  • Undertake specific projects
  • Occasionally deputise for the MD, making decisions and delegating work to others as necessary
If this sounds like the role you are looking for, here’s what experience we are looking for:
  • Expert knowledge of MS office and outlook for Business (especially calendar features)
  • Minimum of 5 years as a PA or EA
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Good command of the English language, additional languages would be an advantage
  • Able to multi task and handle pressure
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Initiative and forward thinking
  • Willingness to be flexible in working arrangements
  • Self-confidence and maturity
  • An appreciation of design, it would be great if you have worked in a creative industry, though not essential
  • Hardworking and willing to make a commitment to the role
  • Enthusiasm, accurate, strong, assertive, adaptable, convincing and customer focused
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
