Are you an experienced Factory Manager looking for a new position in the Salisbury area? Our client, based on the outskirts of Salisbury, is looking for an experienced Factory Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. The hours of work are 8 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday but some flexibility is required. The annual salary is £35,000.

Our client designs and manufactures products and components exclusively to trade companies worldwide. They pride themselves on offering innovative design, quality products along with outstanding customer service. Over the last few years, they have consistently increased their annual turnover and customer base, especially in the USA, hence making for a very busy and productive factory. 

We are looking for a Factory Manager with experience in a busy production environment, with the passion and enthusiasm to drive a continuous improvement culture throughout the manufacturing process.  This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive organisation who continue to invest in both their people and their infrastructure.  You will be forward thinking in your outlook and yet be prepared to lead from the front when required, with a proven track record in manufacturing and a strong “hands on” approach.

The Factory Manager will be reporting to the Production Director and your duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Create a multi-skilled, flexible workforce, with ongoing training, development, welfare and discipline of shop floor employees.
  • Attending daily production schedule/meetings.
  • Constantly monitoring the production processes and adjusting the schedules to ensure all products are produced on time and of a high quality.
  • Ongoing maintenance of all machinery/equipment.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed and kept up to date
  • Working with the directors to implement the company’s policies and goals.
