We are looking for a Product Marketing Manager for our client based on the outskirts of Salisbury.

The Product Marketing Manager will develop products in our clients portfolio by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing and implementing marketing strategies and providing support through-out the product’s life cycle. Additionally, product launch and support strategy and implementation for products launched from units that are globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximizing sales volumes and profitability of the company’s products and services
  • Build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects
  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities and ongoing product support and obsolescence
  • Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, approved product design targets, and positioning.
  • Developing and implementing a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Analysing potential partner relationships for the products

You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company.  You will work with an engineering counter-part to define product release requirements. You will work with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external product expert for your product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers.


Please note - this position is field based but the successful applicant will need to travel regularly to their offices around the U.K. The role entails extensive travel some of which me be overseas and sometimes, over weekends. Frequent ‘out of hours’ involvement with visitors, exhibitions and conferences is also required.
