An immediate opportunity is now available for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a company based in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

In this Purchase Ledger Clerk position, work you’ll complete will include:

  • Ensure all purchase invoices have been authorised/coded and enter onto the purchase ledger.
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Where any discrepancies or issues arise with sales and purchase invoices, raise this with your line manager in order that a timely resolution can be identified.
  • Nominal ledger ‐ process payment runs to suppliers based on invoices approved for payment prepared by your line manager and approved by the Finance Director.
  • Regularly review debtors and liaise with your line manager to ensure credit control procedures are implemented.
  • Timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and credit notes.
  • Matching of supplier invoices with purchase orders and gaining the relevant authorisation
  • Carry out credit checks on new clients.
  • Proactively chasing outstanding invoices seeking assistance where required to resolves queries.
  • Assist in answering overflow telephone in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Dealing with incoming accounts department phone calls and resolving queries.
  • Complete credit account application forms and set up supplier accounts.
  • Assist your line manager and Directors with any other duties as required.

In return for your skills you will receive a competitive salary between £19,0000 - £20,000 depending on your experience.
