Trust Administrator, Legal - Chichester 
 
Our client has a great opportunity for a Trust Administrator to join their Tax and Trusts Team in private Client.
 
The role will also involve regular contact with other professional advisors as well as our clients and other departments at the firm
This will be a varied and challenging role.
 
Key responsibilities as a Trust Administrator:
  • Deal with day to day trust administration matters liaising with trustees and beneficiaries.
  • Arranging payments to beneficiaries and for trustees plus third-party invoices
  • Record keeping, including file opening and closing internal procedures using a case management system
  • Data input for trust accounting of bank, brokers and dividend information
  • Updating capital information of trustees’ share portfolios
  • Reconciling to third party records
  • Monitoring of client funds on deposit both at the firm and at other institutions
  • Contact with other professional advisors as well as clients and other departments at the firm
  • Assisting with the production of annual trust accounts, Trust & Estate Tax Returns and beneficiary income statements
  • Assisting with individual tax returns and straightforward Trust Accounts using Microsoft Excel.
  • Assisting with the preparation of IHT100 returns
  • File maintenance and compliance
  • Attending trust and other client meetings with the Trust and Tax Managers and preparing attendance notes
 
Job knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience required as a Trust Administrator:
  • Previous experience of working within Trusts or previous experience of working in a legal administration role
  • IT Literate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Great attention to detail
