UAT Test Analyst (IT) - Bristol office

Department: IT

We are looking for an experienced UAT Test Analyst to join our clients growing IT team based from their Bristol office.

The role

The UAT Test Analyst will be a part of the IT Department and report to the Applications Manager.

As well as working with the IT Team, the individual will work closely with Application Super User Groups, Business

Representatives and Software and Service vendors. They will be responsible for creating test scripts for applications, progressing the functional UAT test period and ensuring that this is fed back to relevant teams for successful implementation of changes/projects. The individual will need to have expert functional knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of applications and preferably good working understanding of standard accountancy applications. This is a quality assurance role which will rely on test scripts and process.

The objectives of the role are to:

  • Ensure application updates/upgrades and newly onboarded applications are rolled out to the firm successfully
  • To identify changes to the functionality within systems and applications relating to testing plans or test scripts
  • Ensure test scripts, policies and procedures are kept up to date to deliver quality assurance.

Technical Skills;

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 applications
  • Knowledge of Document Management systems
  • Ideally knowledge of accounting packages

Relevant Experience

  • Ideally three years’ experience working as a UAT analyst, preferably in an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
  • Practical experience of working with User Stories is required, with an ability to quickly digest existing
  • User Stories and drive discussions based on acceptance criteria.
