1) What we are and what we do
1.1 We provide work-finding services as an employment agency for permanent roles. We introduce work-seekers to hiring organisations (“Hirers/Clients”).
1.2 If you accept an offer, you will be employed and paid by the Hirer, not by us.
1.3 We do not guarantee interviews or offers.
2) No fees to you for finding work
2.1 You will not be charged any fee for our work-finding services (i.e., for finding you permanent employment). Our fee (if any) is paid by the Hirer.
2.2 We will not make our work-finding services conditional on you purchasing any other goods or services from us or a third party.
3) When these terms apply
3.1 These terms must be accepted before we start providing work-finding services to you, including (without limitation): marketing you, sending your CV/profile to a hirer, arranging interviews, or making introductions.
3.2 These terms apply from the time you accept them as set out in section 12.
4) Information you provide
4.1 You confirm that information you provide (CV, employment history, qualifications, memberships) is true, accurate, and not misleading.
4.2 You agree to tell us promptly if anything material changes (notice period, salary expectations, location/work pattern, restrictions, right-to-work status, etc.).
5) Your preferences
5.1 We will ask for and record your preferences (role type, location, salary, working pattern, availability). You agree to keep these current.
6) Permission to submit you to a hirer
6.1 We will not send your CV or identifiable profile to a specific hirer for a specific role without your permission.
6.2 Permission may be given by email, text/WhatsApp, recorded call, or via our portal/ATS. We will keep an audit record.
7) Role information and changes
7.1 We will provide you with the role details we have so you can decide whether to proceed (duties, location, salary/benefits range, working pattern, process).
7.2 If the role changes materially (e.g., salary, location, seniority, duties), we will tell you and reconfirm your interest.
8) References, checks, and evidence
8.1 Hirers may request references and/or evidence of qualifications or authorisations relevant to the role. We will tell you what is required and when.
8.2 We will not request or share information beyond what is relevant and necessary for recruitment purposes.
9) Data protection / privacy
9.1 We process personal data in line with our Privacy Notice (link above).
9.2 We will share your data with hirers only where you have authorised a submission/introduction, and with service providers supporting our recruitment process under appropriate safeguards.
10) Confidentiality
10.1 We will treat your information as confidential and will only disclose it as necessary to provide work-finding services (consistent with your permissions and our Privacy Notice).
10.2 You agree not to disclose confidential information you receive from hirers beyond what is necessary for your application.
11) Complaints
11.1 If you are unhappy with our service, contact Louise Shepherd at louise@first2recruit.co.uk. We aim to respond within 10 working days.
12) Acceptance (email confirmation – no wet signature required)
12.1 You can accept these terms by replying to our email (or message) with the words:
“I confirm I have read and I agree to the attached Candidate Terms of Engagement (Work-Finding Services) – Permanent Roles, v1.0 dated 03/02/2026, and the Privacy Notice.”
12.2 Your acceptance will be recorded and stored in our systems as evidence of your agreement.
13) Ending these terms
13.1 You can end this agreement at any time by emailing office@first2recruit.co.uk
13.2 Ending this agreement stops us marketing/submitting you going forward; it does not affect applications already made with your permission.
14) Governing law
14.1 These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales
