Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger looking for a new position to start in 2018? Based in or around Salisbury? Our client is looking to expand their team with a full time, permanent Purchase Ledger. You will work 37.5 hours per week, 9-5 pm Monday to Friday and receive a salary of £17,500 - £20,000 dependent on experience.

In the role of Purchase Ledger you will report to the Finance Manager. The business is lean and so it is essential that every member of the team supports other team members so the role is very varied and will require holiday and sickness cover for other skills in the business.

The ideal candidate for the Purchase Ledger position will have the following skills and experience;

  • Purchase ledger and nominal ledger experience
  • IT literate with MS Office and SAGE knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A team player and people person with good telephone manner.


  • Purchase ledger, all aspects including invoice matching, inputting and meekly and monthly payments
  • Posting bank transactions and allocating payments
  • Payment and posting of staff expenses and charge card bills
  • Remotely updating and running reports for the stock takers
  • All filing and telephone enquiries relating to the above
  • Providing cover and support for other office staff
  • Other ad hoc duties as necessary.
